Susan Swenson's lifetime music career of study and stage performance began when she was a child. She has made appearances as both vocalist and instrumental soloist in various films, play productions, and musical performances. Not only has she performed solo piano concerts and voice programs, but has studied violin, clarinet, guitar, and has a working knowledge of various other instruments.
Susan has a passion to teach others and has worked with choirs as director and accompanist. When Susan tells her students, "You are the Greatest Star", she really believes it.
Music composition is another of Susan's passions. She is completely at home in her computerized, state-of-the-art digital music studio. She often is retained to create background music for musical productions, films, solo performances, and social activities. Many of Susan Swenson's music compositions are copyrighted. She designed and assembled her 'wonderland' digital studio, not only for her own composing but, by using the music enhancement and video equipment, students can find invaluable learning assistance and reinforcement.
Susan's career as a voice and piano teacher began in California. Recently she opened her current studio in Brentwood, bordering Nashville,Tennessee.
She makes music fun and her success rate is regarded as outstanding. Many of her students are so inspired they continue their music adventure and become professional performers and/or instructors. She motivates students to unmask their natural talent and inspires them to excellence. In her own words, she says-
My goal is to provide instruction to enable each student to achieve whatever objective or dream they define, and to supply the education and insight to meet their potential.
In Susan's studio, instruction is tailored to each student's specific needs. It is one to one, private, and individual.
Susan is an alumna of the University of California Santa Cruz and is an accomplished painter.
In addition to composing music for nationally-sold video productions, she has created an Art Video Instruction Series called The Essence of Nature. Her current project involves fifteen vocal and fifteen piano video instruction lectures, available at Singading.com or at AAM Triple Arts.
She is listed in the Marquis Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who of the World, International Directory of Distinguished Leadership, 2000 Notable American Women, International Who's Who of Professionals, National, Tennessee State, and Nashville Area Music Teachers Associations, plus various other mentionable notations.
